Formed in Denmark in 2014, Lifesick delivers brutally honest songs inspired by life's turbulence. Influenced by Swedish death metal, their music combines crushing tones and modern breakdowns, forging an uncompromising sound. Their Metal Blade debut, the three-track EP "Love and Other Lies," follows their acclaimed 2022 album, "Misanthropy," praised for its intense riffs, blast beats, breakdowns, and aggressive vocals. Produced by Jacob Bredahl, mixed by Jacob Bredahl, and mastered by Brad Boatright, the EP maintains this brutality. Guests Mark Whelan from Fuming Mouth and Todd Jones from Nails contribute to "Rude Awakening" and "Reverse Birth," respectively. Each EP track has an accompanying video, forming a cohesive narrative. Lifesick has played over 200 shows, including European tours and festivals, but they're yet to perform in the U.S. However, their Spotify streams for tracks like "Suicide Spell," "Buying Time," and "Dies Irae" indicate a U.S. following. They aim to build on the success of "Misanthropy" with "Love and Other Lies," anticipating bigger festivals and gigs. They're also working on their next album, set to be recorded in 2024.
