Maurice Da Vido was born in Mönchengladbach in 1989 and was infected by the DJ virus at an early age as a young child by his father, who worked as a DJ throughout Europe. At the age of 9, he developed an interest in producing electronic music and then began experimenting with a computer, midi keyboard and drum computer in his leisure time. In 2009, Maurice came into contact with the label "tokapi recordings" (SASH!, Kosmonova, Dr.Alban, Alisson&Turner, Alex B. Groove, etc.) after he took part in a remix competition for Lady Gaga's track "Paparazzi" and sent his remix to various friends and family members. At tokapi recordings, Maurice got the opportunity to produce an official remix for the first time (SASH! - All Is Love) and then released his first own single "Let Love Cease The Day" in 2010, along with other remixes. In the following years, numerous remixes followed. For another single of his own, it took a good 8 years until "The One" was released and Maurice slowly started to make his presence felt again.
