Ghana is an entertainer that has won hearts, changed minds and taken her genre to a new level. The reggae-fusion songstress hails from Montego Bay, where she became in tune with her voice from an early age. A past student of Mount Alvernia High, Ghana made Kingston her home when she started attending UWI Mona, eventually graduating with a degree in Psychology with a minor in Entertainment & Cultural Enterprise Management. While at UWI, she also became the president of the UWI POP Society, strengthening her skills not only as a vocalist but as a growing leader in the music industry. Since then, Ghana has taken on multiple stages, wowed audiences and created spaces that appeal to the likes of almost everyone, as proven at her seasonal live show, “9th Element”, where the patrons in attendance coexisted peacefully despite incredible diversity. As an advocate for Human Rights, Ghana strives to end segregation and inspire love, themes that are consistent with her music and actions. Sonically, and as a performer, Ghana is strong and ready to take on the globe using music rooted in reggae with infusions of modern dub, trap and afrobeats, connecting with millennials and older generations alike. Ghana is currently working alongside Dale “DZL Records” Virgo to release her debut EP, Gypsy Dread, in June 2019.
