Biography

Leon J. Thomas Jr, born October 30, 1996 in Richmond, Virginia had a rough upbringing due to the fact that he wasn’t blessed with the most fortunate parents. Even though his parents devoted all of their effort to raising him and making sure he was educated, he decided at the early age of 15 that he was tired of watching his parents struggle to live from check to check despite being their only son and vowed to be rich. He engaged in many different side jobs which paid him under the table in order to help support his parents and still maintained a GPA above a 3.0. However, his constant battle with bullies, and his struggle to fit in with the county kids at school lead his humble soul down the path of hatred and gang violence. Despite his music being fueled by anger and hatred, Jerome definitely has a voice that many would say is heaven sent. Originally starting out wanting to be an R&B singer, he started singing for girls when he was just a freshman in high school, but after his parents moved back to the city where he seemed to fit in a lot better, his style of music over time turned into hardcore drill rap. With his ability to adjust his voice to just about any song or beat, you could say that Jerome is one of the most versatile artists from Virginia since Chris Brown. Despite having a deep love for R&B you could say that if they had to pick an artist to be the face of Virginia Drill Rap, it would be Jerome Diamond.
