Biography

Montreal born singer-songwriter Gianni Bodo has been writing, recording and performing music for over 2 decades, showcasing his unique ability to produce and and perform in three languages. Renowned for his high profile collaborations with, among others, Juno award winning producer and songwriter Pierre Marchand (Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright) and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Colin Devlin, Gianni’s debut solo outing, Fade to Rose, touted him as one of 2014’s biggest music revelations. His musical endeavours have since then been featured internationally in multiple radio and television broadcasts, newspapers, blogs, webzines and magazines. In 2020, released in the midst of the global pandemic, Bodo’s poignant single, Hurricanes and Butterflies, piled up rave reviews and radio play around the world. In 2021, Si Je Pars, his first commercial French language single, co-written with 80’s blockbuster songwriter Nicholas Eede (I Just Died in Your Arms), charted across Quebec and became the first French language song to reach the finals in the history of Canadian Music Week. The song also held a spot on the Stingray chart for nearly 3 years. On the Live scene, the artist has proven himself with his grandiose arena rock spectacles as a festival headliner and with his ballyhooed opening performances for Italian rock icons Claudio Baglioni and Umberto Tozzi (Gloria, Ti Amo).
