Biography

Lesedi Cyprian Khambule (born July 2, 1999), known professionally as Stucco the Great, is a South African rapper, songwriter and founder of Longevity Music Inc. He is part of the hip hop duo BCE (Before the common Era) with frequent collaborator Tan Village. Stucco the Great self-released his mixtapes in 2020 and 2021 including DAYNR (Don't Ask, You're Not Ready) 1 & DAYNR 2: The Age of Discovery. In 2019, Stucco founded Longevity Music Inc, through which he would self-release his own projects. As a young child, he took an interest in music after his friend in seventh grade introduced him to hip-hop music. He began writing songs at the age of thirteen. As he got older, he would do research on artists such as Nas, Tupac, MF DOOM, DMX, Big L, The Notorious B.I.G. & JAY-Z through YouTube, attempting to find his own musical style. As he grew older, he became more interested in pursuing a rap career. Stucco lists Nas, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Jadakiss, Kanye West, Logic, Mac Miller, The Game, Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar as some of his biggest influences. His five favourite rappers are Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Conway the Machine, Lloyd Banks and Kendrick Lamar. He calls Nas' album Illmatic his most favourite album, claiming it was a huge influence. Even though he prefers old school hip-hop over modern day hip-hop, he still merges the two, saying it's good to bridge the gap. Stucco released his third mixtape, Helter Skelter. Helter Skelter was released on March 3.
