Biography

Mission Groove is the nickname Bill Pardue gave to his musical endeavors back in 1999 when he seemed to solely concentrate on dance remix podcasts. The name was created with the intent to set focus that the mission is in the journey not the destination of music. It wasn't until around 2011 when longtime friend and mentor Grammy-winning producer Tracy Young told him he should go to the next level because she knew how much music was part of his life that he took the next step to start producing, remixing tracks. Even before Mission Groove had a name, he knew music was part of his DNA. During college he handled fan correspondence for Wilson Phillips and Mariah Carey during an internship with Fan Emporium. He later did a private mix of Hold On for Wilson Phillips which has since gotten played around the world, including the iconic Stonewall Inn in NYC. A staunch LGBTQ+ ally, he is an activist for both those causes as well as Black Lives Matter and climate change. Early influences are Bananarama, Shep Pettibone, Madonna, Jody Watley and Stock Aitken Waterman. Inspired by the beats of Tracy Young, Dj Paulo, DJ Escape, Victor Calderone, Abel Aguilera, Peter Rauhofer and Junior Vasquez. He's currently working on original tracks in addition to remixes for other recording artists so look for those to appear on the horizon.
