A singer-songwriter based in Spain, Emma McCallion’s upbringing was filled with an eclectic mix of musical styles and genres in Ireland, influences which can be heard in her solo and collaborative outputs. As an activist for protecting and supporting vulnerable women, Emma’s songs highlight social issues and call us to action over injustice. Her debut EP Sing the Ohs, produced by Raúl Nácher at Soniart Producciones, features memorable soft-rock songs which address these challenging and important issues in her characteristically optimistic manner. Take It Back, an upbeat pop song with a yearning for a deeper connection with others in the era of social media and remoteness, was featured on Levante TV, Revista de Sociedad and Nacer de Novo Radio. Her new single, Paying for Love, in collaboration with the organisation OFF! Just Love, is a thought-provoking take on inequality which encourages us to reflect on our impact on others whilst sending out a clear message of reconciliation. As a collaborative member of the music community, Emma features on Arthur Xust&Mark EDM tracks such as “I'm Alive”, Limelight and “Butterfly”. Emma is a long-time collaborator with Gospel Gloria choir, featuring on Un Paso Más and “He Venido” and regularly leading the choir at shows across Spain. Emma regularly sings and records with fellow activist and singer Eva Betoret, featuring in the music video Mediterráneo. PAYING FOR LOVE MUSIC VIDEO OUT ON YOUTUBE NOW!
