Dr. Ludwig Albert belongs as Adams artist with the absolute top flight. Internationally highly acclaimed as pedagogue and one of today’s leading marimbists throughout the world, he received the honor as first European marimbist of the production of his signature Adams marimba concert model (NL) and his signature mallet line by Innovative Percussion (US). He released 15 albums with mainly own works and established as professor marimba the European creation of a marimba Master department at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and the LUCA University, driven by his innovative Movement Method: “the Ultimate Sound”. He’s related as artistic director to several international festivals and competitions. Hailed by press for his unique sound and 8 mallet play, he performed over 30 years touring in more than 30 countries, with as highlight his latest double concerto “The Universe” for which he received the “Music Award - best classical 2020” in Los Angeles USA. He received the Outstanding Legacy Award and will celebrate 30 years career from 2023 with new productions, CD-releases and the world première of his concerto "Permafrost" composed in cooperation with the Portuguese marimbist Rodrigo F. Marques.
