Biography

Kasabian, one of the UK’s best and biggest bands, are back with an explosive new studio album 'Happenings'. 20 years since their debut album and the follow up to 2022’s #1 album The Alchemist’s Euphoria. Amid an ever-churning vista of disappearing messages and vanish modes, one place Kasabian have consistently enjoyed a connection is onstage during those communal moments when band and audience rise as one. It is this bond that provides the guiding spirit behind the Leicester group’s eighth studio album, inspiring Sergio Pizzorno (lead vocals/guitar/keyboards), Chris Edwards (bass/vocals), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (guitar/keyboards) to make a record that embraces the visceral excitement and ‘anything can happen’ unpredictability of live music as they take Kasabian into fresh musical territory. Not only will its connections be felt on the band’s upcoming tour as having inspired the album’s title, Kasabian are keen to incorporate the elements of the late-1950s happenings that took art out of the galleries and onto the streets into their shows, but it will transform the band’s own doorstep too. Once again Kasabian will make their hometown a creative focal point as they return to Leicester’s Victoria Park this summer (6 July) for their biggest show to date – Summer Solstice (II)
