Batavia is a gothic industrial band from Jacksonville Florida. Formed in 2020 by husband and wife duo Terri and Ed Cripps, the two bring together a litany of influences; Industrial, goth rock, dark wave, punk and metal. The band signed to Tigersquawk Records shortly after the release of their first EP, 'Graveyard'. Shortly thereafter, the band released their second offering, 'Quite Mean Spirited', featuring a remix by none other than Claus Larsen of Leæther Strip. With its blend of brooding goth rock built on a classic industrial frame, the EP was greeted with praise from fans and press alike. The band is going into 2021 with a single release 'Step 13', a remix album in the works, and an upcoming LP to be announced for early next year.
