Fernando Deddos acts globally as a composer, instrumentalist and professor. He currently teaches at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). Deddos recorded the very first euphonium album in Brazil, EuFonium Brasileiro, which received the International Tuba & Euphonium Association’s award for excellence in recording. Besides his participation in interdisciplinary, chamber and Brazilian popular music projects, Deddos acts frequently as guest artist and professor with ensembles and international festivals and conferences. In 2020, Deddos performed his Concerto for Euphonium with the US Army Symphony Orchestra. Deddos’s pieces have been performed and recorded in the five continents. The Concertino for Oboe and String Orchestra was premiered by Christoph Hartmann from the Berlin Philharmonic, and chamber groups such as the Trombone Trio of the Concertgebouw Orchestra (Holland) and the Brass Hexagon (Japan) have premiered and recorded Deddo’s works. Deddos has received three times the Harvey Phillips Awards by ITEA for excellence in composition, and has been member of international composition competitions committees. In 2021, it was released the album Chamber Works for Brass and Guests. Fernando Deddos is a doctor of music from University of Georgia, president of the Brazilian Euphonium and Tuba Association (ETB), and an Adams Instruments Artist (Holland).
