Statik The Mademan, or just Statik, is a rapper from New Orleans (The East) and is ½ of the rap duo LATEX Music. Early on, he began his career rapping as part of the duo, East MOB. Together with, his then partner-in-rap, Spyda they would release one project called OUT THE GATE. Statik would then move to Houston, TX where he would then continue his career as a solo act. He gained recognition with his 3 part mixtape series called FREE BASE. From there Statik would continue to release music until one day meeting Clinton Park’s rap star T. Clark. Statik would be featured on a song from T. Clark called GOOD TIMES (RATCHET). From there they would make the collaboration permanent by forming the rap duo, LATEX Music. The duo would then release their self-titled project LATEX. Statik is often seen collaborating on music with Houston rapper, Trae Haze. Statik has been directing and co-directing music videos under WhiteCran. His most notable video directed was HTX, which featured a collaboration between Houston rapper Youngsta Wid Flo and legendary rapper Paul Wall.
