A multi-faceted composer and DJ, Yann Lean also works as a sound engineer for himself and other artists. Whether as a duo with Madben and their side project Trunkline or solo, he has won the trust and support of prestigious labels (KMS, Bedrock, Planet Rhythm, Cod3QR, Skryptöm, Materia) as well as enthusiastic feedback from world-renowned artists. After numerous EPs under their 2 banners, their first album with Trunkline, “Mercy”, was released by Arkham Audio. A studio adaptation of their impressive and unpredictable live machines. To support this album, with his friend and director Antoine Ossière, he produced the eponymous video in the form of a dark, raw and intriguing short film. Tracks such as “Hope” and “Don't Stop” reflect his influences from the house music and techno scenes of Chicago, Detroit and London. An extrovert geek, the search for groove is the bedrock of his musical approach. Whether live or in a DJ set, the Breton likes to share his energy, and every time he appears, he gives us a furious desire to dance.
