Biography

Gingerr Rust makes one hell of an introduction with her debut EP Mr. Bleu. Aloof from the confines of genre, she blends R&B, Jazz, and Soul seemingly effortlessly to create an intoxicating mix of unique fuzzy melodic sounds that demand to be heard beyond the walls of her bedroom studio ("Meet The Jeffersons", "Shroom Tea") This self taught singer/songwriter/producer facilitates you on a musical journey as her unconventional sound, relatable stories, and poetic lyricism transport you into her inner world. ("Rage Wave", "Left"). On the journey, there are these beautiful points of reflection that circle throughout the course of the EP that really resonate with the audience. It's as if we've almost all been to Mr. Bleu's at least once or twenty times. While processing a breakup, dealing with change, and holding space for herself on the road to self love, she emits realness that is undeniably contagious. Her inventive sound keeps you in a constant state of anticipation as you never know what to expect next ("Dead Butterflies"). Truly proving herself a force to be reckoned with, the 22 year old singer creates these artful concoctions that speak to her mind-blowing talent and eclectic taste.
