Swedish rap artist Xersize has a strong drive to create music. Influenced by artists such as Eminem and NF, his devotion to art and creation has been a transcendental force behind his success. When speaking of his personal connection to music, its therapeutic influence comes to mind. “I struggled with deep depression and anxiety for 14 years. A lot of my music comes from my feelings from that period”, “Much of my music comes from the darkness inside”. Having a strong connection to music from an early age, he wrote his first song at the age of 8. When asked about this relation, he describes his first musical memories. “I’ve felt a strong bond to music since I was little. From the time I was 6 years old and stood on my bed and pretended that I was on stage while I lip-synced to my favorite songs”. The rapper previously worked with Worcester, MA based rap collective Hytown Records, being featured in different mixtapes and in the song “An Empty Venue With 2 Broken Microphones” on an album by US rapper B’LoCo. He released his first EP “Before Massachusetts” in 2018, including a collaboration with US rap duo Potluck. Xersize’s debut album “Xersize” was released in 2019, followed by his second album “Välkommen Hem” in 2020. The rapper got signed to Gothenburg-based Rexius Records in 2021. Along with them he released a number of singles, including the highly successful "Scars" Madeleine Liljestam from the Swedish metal band Eleine. In 2023 he left Rexius Records.
