Biography

Boldly creative production and unmistakable vocals of identity and depth - Idaho’s Placid Jaggers blends genres in a fiercely authentic way, and brings to modern music a clear edge of character and intention. Born in ’92, Placid Jaggers drives with the ideal fusion of youthful passion and lifelong experience united. The first artist to ignite in him a love for rapping was DMX – a tape gifted by Jaggers’ aunty had ‘Big X’ included. Jaggers immediately fell in love with the sound, the boldness and freedom of the style, and quickly decided this was the route for him. Inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd and Primus as much so as Tech N9ne, Tool, DMX and 50cent, Placid Jaggers approaches creativity with an uninhibited air of passion and power. While there’s a strong degree of character to Placid Jaggers style, recognizable across releases, there’s also an inspiring level of versatility that stands tall between tracks. This eclecticism, and his natural desire to write freely and with uninhibited openness, is why he relates so notably to acts like DMX, Nas and Wu Tang Clan. From the instantly catchy hook and groove of ‘MULA’, through the acoustic tones and personal reflections of ‘Myself’, to the bass-heavy darkness and depth of ‘EVIL’, Placid Jaggers injects style and integrity into the scene; fearlessly mastering the mic whether singing or rapping.
