Biography

At the age of only twenty-three, the Franco-American musician Justin Taylor won First Prize in 2015 at the prestigious International Musica Antiqua Harpsichord Competition in Bruges, obtaining in addition the Audience Prize, and two other special prizes. Justin Taylor has already made more than ten recordings. He records exclusively for Alpha Classics. His first two solo discs, La Famille Forqueray and Continuum, have received widespread praise both in France and abroad. As gifted for the fortepiano as for the harpsichord, he has recorded Mozart’s K 453 Concerto. The harpsichordist was chosen to record a double disc of little-known Bach works for the BACH 333 collected works issued by Deutsche Grammophon. This March, a new album will be released : "La Famille Rameau". He was nominated as one of the three finalists in the “Instrumental Soloist Revelations” category in the 2017 “Victoires de la Musique”. Ever willing to share his love of music with the general public, Justin Taylor performs as a soloist as well as with his chamber music ensemble, Le Consort.
