Michael Bankz was born in Fort Worth, Texas and reared in the DFW (Dallas-Worth) for most of his grade school years, until moving to Atlanta, GA in high school. His life is rooted in music, love, and spirituality. Michael Bankz learned how to play the piano by age 12, and routinely sang with his brothers, sisters, and cousins in church. He enrolled at THE Fort Valley State University where he sang in the concert chorale, the Wildcat Force recruitment team, and many functions on campus and in the community. His love for music led him to pursue it professionally. Bankz found himself singing in a few R&B groups, one of which was signed to Konvict Music/Boo Vision. In 2011, Michael Bankz decided to become a solo artist and has not looked back since. He is an artist; a true crooner in this modern era of R&B. His skill as a singer/songwriter is reflected not only in his musicianship but also his spirituality and his belief in the power of love.
