From Ben Teters, drummer with artists such as Satsang and SunDub, comes ‘The Greatest Gift’, the debut single off his debut album entitled ‘Palmslap’. ‘The Greatest Gift’ accented by syncopated percussion over a hypnotically repetitive groove, and wash of steel pan and sax melodies, comments on the creative powers of our species, on the ability of man to manifest what we see in our minds eye. “The greatest gift of man is to create…”. It’s a testament to our ability as humans to create what we want in our lives, and how special a gift that is. In addition to his solo career, Ben's versatility, rock solid groove, and free flowing incorporation of afro-latin rhythms into contemporary music has led him to a host of musical collaborations, regularly writing, performing, recording and touring with some of the finest artists from New York and beyond. These include Sidney Mills (Steel Pulse), Seth Walker, Cas Haley, Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon), Chris Berry, award winning dance troupe Dorrance Dance and more.
