With his saxophone Esdras Nogueira is one of the great names of the Brazilian instrumental music scene fusing different Brazilian rhythms in a tropical jazz. The saxophonist that has become a reference in the Brazilian indie scene is currently releasing his 5th solo album. Lá em Casa Sessions was recorded live in Esdras's living room. Connecting to his gastronomic side, each song is also accompanied by a recipe developed by the cooking project Coma Lá em Casa Esdras shares with his life and business partner Mariana Cardoso. Be warned: the song titles might make you hungry. In addition to Lá em Casa Sessions, Esdras continues touring with Transe, his instrumental interpretation of the album Transa by Caetano Veloso. Transa was recorded in London in 1971 and released the following year during the dark period of the military dictatorship in Brazil when the singer returned from his exile in England. Esdras' jazzy version has received rave reviews and a cult following. Esdras's solo career began with the release of Capivara in 2014, a tribute to Hermeto Paschoal, followed by NaBarriguda in 2016, with compositions by Esdras and other artists, and Ao Vivo in 2017. In addition to his solo career Esdras is also well known for being in the bands Móveis Coloniais de Acaju and Remobília among others, for his cooking project Coma Lá em Casa, and his instrumental music festival Música Transforma, which takes place in Brasília.
