North Carolina rapper and vocalist Nolo credits himself amongst many others at being able to master and deliver a plethora of styles within the musical genres of Hip Hop and R&B. What’s more impressive is that his almost innate song-writing ability is seemingly just as polished and equal to his stunning talent to execute and record music. Nolo debuted his first official Single, Incoherent featuring rapper D.O.P.E. on March 1, 2019 jumpstarting what seems like a very promising musical career that is almost sure to lead to a proliferation of supporters and sales. 
 Nolo’s musical journey began as a 5-year old child rapping for a dollar at a corner store a short distance from his grandmother’s house in Smallwood of Charlotte, NC. Nolo, born Nolan Ratchford, was born and raised in Charlotte where he spent the majority of his life on the “west side” where most of his family members reside. It was within the depths of section 8 apartment complexes where the childhood name, Nolo grew popular amongst Nolo’s friends and eventually became what he ultimately decided to be his stage name. Despite being forced to grow up in some of the harshest environments, Nolo has been able to overcome countless obstacles, which were unable to, “make him fold”. Coming from a family where either you sell drugs or use them, Nolo is determined to forge his own path, channeling his life’s story through his music hoping to inspire many others to forge their own paths as well despite of their circumstances.
