Arson was founded in 1999 by Arne Clemm (b), Benjamin Schlanzke (g), Jürgen Schneider (voc) and Manuel Weber (dr). After winning a Band contest ARSON decided to send their selftitled ep to festival-booker across germany. This is why ARSON played many festivals and concerts shortly after starting the band. 
 2002 ARSON released the album NEW WORLD which was voted „best newcomer album“ in the category „rock national“. Now the first radio stations became aware of ARSON. NEW WORLD got airplay in Germany, Italy, Israel and the Netherlands. Since 2002 ARSON played shows across europe. 
 Striking are the positive lyrics of ARSON. The songs reflect the Christian faith of the band members. 
 In 2004 singer Thomas Süßenbach joined the band. He replaced Jürgen who wanted to spend more time with his family. 2005 ARSON released BROKENESS BRINGS FORTH UNKNOWN BEAUTY. Metal Hammer, the biggest german metal magazine wrote: „This album is colorful, diversified and charmingly inorganic.“ With the songs from this album Arson toured across Europe and played a lot of shows and festivals. In 2008 Arne left the band. He was replaced by Ruben Seinsche. In the same year ARSON released the EP SHARP PRINCIPLE DIFFUSE FUNDAMENTAL. 
 In 2011 the band announced their breakup. 2019 ARSON had a reunion to celebrate their 20th anniversary. At the end of 2020 Arson released the EP „Interlude“ with Demos, B-Sides and Remixes. In 2021 Arson will release a new album.
