Born a New Orleans native.L2 grew up in the Uptown area in the the 17th ward. His neighborhood is called "GERT TOWN". Coming from a single parent household,L2 born Larry Manning Jr, along with his brother mainly roamed the near by neighborhoods. Such as, "HollyGrove","Pigeon Town" and the"Back-a-Town"areas. Mostly getting into trouble and fights, when playing various street sports. L2 took to music as a toddler mimicking"Micheal Jackson""James Brown""Run DMC".Along side from his street running and mischievous behavior.L2 wrote poetry and attended the spoken word competition.It wasn't until 1996 when he heard LL COOL J's"I NEED LOVE"that he was inspired to Start recording music.In the up and coming years he had his ups and downs with his music being released due to disagreements with the label he was with at the time.Lets just call it creative differences. After pairing up with his brother"J Mike" the two started"REDTOP/BLACK BOTTOM MUSIC GROUP".Sought out to release a mixtape in 2012 under the name"LARRY LOVE THA RYDA".They managed to sell 10,000 copies hand to hand but it wasn't enough financially.So L2 went to what he was good at and kept the label a float.With a failed compilation album release in 2015,L2 decided to just do it everything himself. Mixing,Mastering,Producing,Graphic Design,Engineering,Singing and writing amongst many other things.When interviewed by Hot Tv late 2015 L2 said,"I'd rather fail knowing I did it all myself,than to fail because I was sabotaged,".
