Biography

Est. 2013 in Austin, TX, Mothman ferociously merge elements of grindcore, metal and hardcore into an unrelenting aural assault. The trio effortlessly cover a decent amount of musical ground in their terse song offerings, holding listeners hostage with chaotic vocals, pavement-shattering drum patterns, break neck transitions and devastating breakdowns. The band's ability to pay homage to bands before them (Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Nails, Ed Gein, Dead In The Dirt) while still presenting a sound the heavy music world hasn't really heard before is beyond impressive and necessitates a landslide of recognition. However, the group are content to let their airtight live performance and insane riffs do the talking. Their latest album, "Cancer Withdrawal," is out on Dark Trail Records.
