Madelief Termaten, born in 2002 in Delft (The Netherlands), found her passion for music at a young age already. From birthday parties to school events, Madelief took every opportunity to share her love for music with others. Madelief and her sister have asthma, so by the end of 2012 Madelief’s parents decided to leave The Netherlands and move to Sweden, where they still live at this time (2020). However, moving to Sweden and her asthma are no reasons for Madelief to give up on her musical career. In 2018 Madelief starts at the Mega Music Gymnasium in Helsingborg, where her ambitions increasingly take shape. In 2019 Madelief takes a leap of faith and signs herself up for Idols, Swedens most watched television show. Madelief is comfortable on the big stage and came a long way. Madelief looks back on the adventure with her head held high, when not much later the next show presented itself. When in 2020 Madelief is asked to participate in a new Dutch television show, We Want More, she doesn’t hesitate and packs her bags for the trip to The Netherlands. ‘We Want More’ says goodbye to Madelief in the semi-finals, but Madelief certainly does not remain unnoticed. Not only is her fan base growing, but Madelief has also caught the attention of big names from the music industry. In the summer of 2020 Madelief writes her first single together with Music Mates. In “Ik ga door” Madelief describes the painful moments in her love life and how it has made her stronger every time.
