Dian is a progressive rock/metal band from Oulu, northern Finland. With their recent “Talvikuu” release, the band changed their language from English to Finnish and were also musically reborn towards more heavier and introverted sound. Talvikuu is five songs of progressive and rhythmically diverse modern metal, already compared to bands like Sara and Deftones. Album was originally released in Youtube, as a series of videos shot in the local squat house / live venue “Tukikohta”. Thematically, Talvikuu (“wintermoon”, early Finnish name for December) starts by reflecting the dark minds of people living in distant northern Finland, ending up to EDM zombie apocalypse, where the dust falls with the snow.
