From a fresh start to award-winners, now to seasoned festival performers, Outlander’s two years together has taken their unique chemistry around the country and their music into the hearts of new fans. No strangers to large events, Outlander have travelled around the UK playing on festivals including the C2C Festival at the O2 Arena London, Weyfest, ButeFest, the Tall Ships Race Blyth (Northumberland’s largest events), and many others. Their musicianship and engaging presence is apparent in their refined and precise live performances which has seen them perform alongside artists from a variety of different genres, including Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Alison Moyet, The Wedding Present, We Are Scientists, and Buzzcocks. In 2016 Outlander were also chosen to support Pop/Soul legends Simply Red on their Big Love Stadium Tour. As well as being a polished live act, Outlander also shine in the studio; writing, recording, producing and mixing all of their own music. Their music captures everything across the spectrum of contemporary music, from the stripped-back, heartfelt songs with big harmonies, to songs with undeniable groove and melody. Outlander is made up of Ali Garner, Alex Young, Brian Boyd, David Roughton, and Lowri Dowell.
