Based in San Francisco, California, Shibumi is an artist with a deep appreciation for drum & bass going back 15+ years. After early releases under the name Ackute on Textures Music Group, he established the alias Shibumi in 2012 to further develop his sound. In the time since, his music has appeared on labels such as Soulvent, Terra Firma, DLT9, and Deception Recordings, with DJ support from Manifest, Loxy, Kiljoy, Jaise, Askel & Elere, and more. As the newest resident at Shelter, San Francisco's longest-running drum & bass night, and with the establishment of his own 10:30 label and radio show, Shibumi continues to create and share music with the Bay Area and beyond.
