Myke ShyTowne has been a “MULTI-GENRE” DJ & Mixologist in and out of The Chicagoland Area for 15+ years The Name Myke ShyTowne was given to him by his mentors, friends and fans. He took the name on after it developed into what it is today. The shy part of the name derived from Myke’s “Shy” side, and also references “Chi-Towne” as in Chicago, the city where he’s from. He later added “Mike”, his real first name at the beginning to reference his birth name, but changed the “I” in Mike to a “Y” for creative purposes. From Chicago, Myke ShyTowne ventured into many various styles of HOUSE music. He is known to his fans and friends as a “Multi-genre House DJ, the type where you will never know what to expect while listening to his mix sets.” “Since I was moving away from the minimal hardcore sounds at the time, I needed a new sound. Being from Chicago, I started getting attached to the Chicago Hard House sound. I started listening to the B-96 FM weekend mixes (you remember the ones with Bad Boy Bill, Tim “Spinnin” Schomer, Julian “Jumpin” Perez, etc. oh wait... I cannot forget Trackoholics (sp?)) and not to forget the sounds of D.J. Trajic, Fast Eddie, P-Jay, DJ Bam Bam, DJ Attack, Hot Mix 5 mixes … there are so many…!” RAN OUT OF SPACE...
