Born and raised in Alief, TX (located in the southwest area of Houston), Musashiii has always had burning passion for any type of art that was intriguing. At first, it started with him wanting to become an anime artist. But a new spark hit him after high school once he received his first beat machine; AKAI MPD24. His daily routine had never been the same since. Working consistently and diligently while staying up late, Musashiii began to develop his craft simply for the love. His sampling techniques ranges from unique genres from all across the globe including alternative, soul, funk, traditional, jazz, punk, and even vaporwave. Musashii is daring enough to sample anything that perks his ear. He believes finding samples is like “thrift shopping for rare clothes”. His style ranges from not only Lo-Fi, but southern trap, R&B, Bedroom Pop, Experimental, to even Chi-House. His obvious influence is anime which he considers “an escape from reality”. Chopping small melodies from random anime shows can be heard throughout Musashiii’s catalog, and which can be flipped in an obscured way for others. Some call Musashiii an innovator for his works, some may even say he’s a genius for what he composes. But to himself, he’s just another individual pursuing his dreams ambitiously.
