Born in Hamburg and drawn to various cultures all over the globe, Willem X had an innate desire to leave his home country Germany to connect and learn about the world. Moving between California, Berlin, and Mexico, Willem’s lyrics emphasize integrity and openness, relationships and emotions, prejudices and what cultures can learn from each other. He is both musician and producer, blending storytelling with musical raffinesse in his beats. A trumpet player since childhood, he later added drums, beat-making, singing, and rapping to his repertoire, which are recorded on his tracks with a signature sound. He primarily makes hip-hop music that is experimental in nature and influenced by Pop, Jazz, RnB, and Latinamerican rhythms. Willem X has two master degrees in music&technology from Stanford University and the Technical University of Berlin. His music is a testament to his unique perspective on the world, a journey that has taken him from the weight of poverty in Chile to the heights of Silicon Valley.
