With his debut album, 'gennem rum', the Copenhagen-based composer and musician Viktor Dahl sets out to define a musical point of departure outside his many collaborations as musician, songwriter, composer and co-producer. ‘gennem rum’ consists of 6 instrumental pieces, composed by Viktor for the cross-disciplinary artwork ‘langsomme bevægelser’ with Ida Niegaard. It explores states of being, movement through physical as well as mental spaces and the diverse dynamics of small ecosystems. The album is mixed in collaboration with the danish producer Rasmus Meyer – with whom Viktor also works under the Vy moniker – and is mastered by Taylor Deupree, the founder of the genre-defining american record label 12k. 'gennem rum' is released on November 13 for cassette and streaming. Viktor Dahl is know for his work as a member of the Danish indie-group Yör, who released the critically acclaimed intet så rigtigt in 2023 and since has toured extensively nationwide. He is also co-writer and -producer for rising star Emma Sehested Høeg, with whom he has worked on both music releases, theatre productions and live shows.
