Charlu（シャルル） Charlu is a Japanese rapper from the Shinagawa region of Tokyo. With a lyrical sense cultivated through MC battles, versatility in sound, and powerful yet warm vocals, Charlu, a mother of two, is garnering attention both domestically and internationally as the new female rap icon. Appearing this year in Japanese TV series, RAPSTAR, Charlu’s “GIRI” and “My Verse”, were highly acclaimed by show judges, advancing her to the final stage as a revival competitor. At the final stage, Charlu moved the audience with an overwhelmingly passionate performance, earning first place in the performance category. Following RAPSTAR, Charlu became the first Japanese Artist to perform on the New York-based live performance platform, On The Radar Radio with songs, “Moonlight” and “HIP ATTACK”.
