UK (Nottingham) born David Philips is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer. His work as a solo artist and session guitar player has taken him around the world playing venues and festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Marciac Jazz Festival (France) Delhi Jazz Festival (India), Woodford Folk Festival (Australia) and Blue Balls Festival (Switzerland), Mare De Agosto Festival (Azore Islands), Jazzaldia Festival (Spain) to name a few. He has also written and recorded productions for companies such as MTV, VH1, Audi and Volkswagen and his Cigar Box Guitar driven song "What Am I?" was used by Red Bull. In 2017 his song "Hummingbird" was used on History Channel's "Six". David's self released debut record "Heal Yourself Alone" was album of the week on BBC Radio London's Robert Elms Show. He then signed to Black and Tan Records in The Netherlands in 2011 and has released 6 albums with the label to date. Philip's "D.I.Y." approach to recording and time working as a studio engineer means he records his own albums and usually plays all instruments. This is especially true of his latest release "Get Along. David is also a talented painter/draughtsman and his drawings and paintings of birds have provided the artwork for his last 4 solo releases.
