Toronto’s Barry Harris was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce and perform a Top 40 hit; “I Beg Your Pardon” by his debut act Kon Kan. “I Beg Your Pardon”, became an international Top 5 hit around the world, garnering a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Dance Recording in 1990. 1998 Barry relocated to Los Angeles and teamed up with dj/producer Chris Cox. Together as Thunderpuss they produced more than 40 #1 Billboard Dance remixes including hits for major label recording artists Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion & Donna Summer and more. Barry is best known for Whitney Houston’s Top 5 global hit, “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” which remains in steady rotation around the world today. A veteran of the Toronto DJ scene, Barry continues to tour the U.S. and continues to lend his legendary DJ skills to events in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, New Orleans, San Francisco, San Diego to name a few. Barry Harris continues to remix dance club favourites, advancing his solo signature sound to P!nk, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Drake, Billie Eilish and many more yet to come.
