Nigerian-Canadian Singer and songwriter, LOTi, is an experimental artist, fusing Afrobeats and R&B/Soul into a sound uniquely coined by the Nigerian native as Afro R&B. In 2018 LOTi released the Afro/Caribbean and House fusion single - “Queen.” It was featured on top music blogs highlighting him as a rising star. LOTi’s single Queen was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Canada, spreading his music to the world and helping him reach over 250,000 streams on Spotify. This single was also featured on radio across Canada. During the pandemic in 2020, LOTi released his summer single - “Wanting More”. This single premiered on Spotify’s New Music Friday Canada and 7 other major playlists. The song also gained airplay on Canadian radio, surpassing over 660,000 streams on Spotify. LOTi then went on to release his hit single, “Desire” which was featured on Spotify’s newly launched New Music Friday Naija & major playlists on Apple Music. In 2021, LOTi had one of his biggest releases, “What You Need” alongside Juno-nominated Neo-Soul artist Zenesoul and it was an instant hit on Spotify. The single premiered on New Music Friday Canada, Mood Ring, and RADAR Canada. The single was also featured on CBC radio & Pop Frequency. LOTi then went on to release his first album in 2022, titled “Afrodisia”, a 10-track project that is a unique mixture of Afro R&B, Afrobeats & Soul, and has successfully amassed over 1.5 million streams across streaming platforms.
