Joshua Smith, known to most as SCi-FY, is a music producer, engineer, songwriter, DJ & musician. 
Hailing from West Tennessee, he grew up playing piano in church and making beats at home, but his biggest creative influence came from one thing… science fiction. Movies like Blade Runner and shows like Dragonball Z had a massive impact on how he started making music. From the score of Vangelis’ synthesizers to the futuristic landscapes and unexpected plot twists, these sci-fi tropes are the heartbeat to his creative vision in and out of the studio. 
His music is a mix of big synthesizers, organic musicality and emotional themes taking influence from hip-hop/trap, synthpop, R&B and several other genres. SCi-FY’s productions can be heard on several shows & movies like Netflix’s Inventing Anna & Paramount+’s Fantasy Football and with several up-and-coming artists like Daisha McBride & Byron Juane. Now a member of the prestigious Recording Academy, his aim is to usher in new avenues of diversified creativity more than ever before.
