An instrumentalist from Bahia, Brazil, Gustavo Di Dalva started playing percussion when he just was five years old, guided by his father and teacher, Tony Mola. He had great support from some of the most influential names in Bahia music including Carlinhos Brown and Ivan Huol. Gustavo Di Dalva’s musical knowledge covers a wide range and variety of rhythms. Brazil's northeastern rhythms including Baião, Samba, Bossa Nova and Afro Bahia were his influences. He used them as starting points for incorporating Reggae, Funk, Latin Rhythms, African Tribal Music and Bahia Rhythms into his current repertoire. currently living in New York since 2017, he has already launched two percussion courses, toured with artist David Byrne the show American Utopia, has had three seasons on Broadway, two with Davi Byrne and the third the show He Lies Love, has already released two singles and an album.
