Gio Iheanyi Kene, most commonly known as "Godwin Kene" or "GK", is a Nigerian-American rapper, singer, songwriter, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and former US servicemember. A rising star in Underground Rap and R&B, Kene is the co-founder, CEO and de-facto leader of TheSpot Records, a rapidly-growing worldwide coalition of artists and creators (including Atlanta-based rapper Hardajay, NY-based singer Kalonji, English wordsmith JJ Marek, and many more). An adamant representative of Columbia, South Carolina, Kene is also well-regarded as the current chief innovator of "soda city sound".
