Brown Rain

Maybe That's Just What I Am

Biography

FCK is the punk/hip-hop project of Naarm/Melbourne artist Amy Wright (formerly of Beloved Elk). Debuting in February 2019 at the sold out Gaytimes festival, F.C.K went on to sign to Yes Rave Records to release their full length "tape one" before taking the work over to Europe in September that same year for a tour of punk and queer clubs across Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and London. F.C.K received album of the month on German radio and airplay on Australia's Triple J, before settling down over the summer to collaborate with local and international producers on a follow up release. With COVID-19 shutting down their 2020 touring plans, they are taking the time to record their second album and will be releasing the first single "Brown Rain" in the final week of May. While all of F.C.Ks work is heavily focussed on exposing issues around class and gender, "Brown Rain" blends this ideology with the experience of lockdown and trying to hold on to the good things in life.
