Austin Prince makes songs and music videos. He also gardens, plays sports, reads books, takes care of his pets, embroiders, fishes, goes on walks with his girlfriend, draws, paints, watches ASMR videos. The singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist likes to catch frogs and salamanders too (mostly to look at, but sometimes to keep in aquariums). Like many people, he struggles with his mental health, but he’s doing pretty good right now, thanks to songwriting therapy, the right combo of medications, semi-regular exercise, and finding support by accepting and communicating to his friends that he was struggling. Kicking off his career as a solo artist supporting half•alive - fronted by his cousin Josh Taylor - on their first national tour in 2018, Austin has since released nearly a dozen singles, amassing over 4 million streams, defining his DIY, self-aware, alternative R&B sound, and cultivating a humble, but dedicated following. An Oakland, Ca native and identical twin brother, Austin now lives in Nashville, TN where he records and produces out of his house.
