OCG aka O’Dane Coote is one of the brightest new talents on the Jamaican music scene. The talented singjay was born on the 14th of February in 1991 to parents Dahlia Graham and Wayne Coote in Kingston. Shortly after his birth, his parents moved to live in Westmoreland where he grew up in a small town called Haddow. OCG’s maternal grandmother was the first person who recognized his talent and encouraged him to sing. He eventually became a member of the choir at her church. OCG’s grandfather who was a musician in his youth was also a great influence on him. His grandfather taught him how to play the guitar and encouraged him to finish school before pursuing a career in music. After Anchovy High, he transferred to Mannings School where he was recruited to join the school choir that participated in the 2004 and 2005 seasons of TVJ’s All Together Sing competition. While attending Montego Bay Community College he made a connection with Big Ship Records and made his recording debut in 2012 with the Stephen McGregor produced track titled Mi Nah Loose Mi Medz ft. Laden on the Iron Belt riddim. Since the release of singles Jupiter (John Blacks Records) and Jah Jah Guide Me (Yellow Moon Records) OCG has been hailed by many music industry insiders as an artiste to watch. In 2016 OCG career grew massively after releasing hit single Best Friend Girl produced by chimney records. OCG is currently promoting new singles WHY MAN CHEAT (Chimney Records) FIGHTER (White Ice Production)
