mBtheLight, is the moniker of Detroit native and multidisciplinary artist Monica Blaire. theLIGHT is a performance artist, dexterous composer, singer songwriter, and MC. mB carries hints of soul, house and hip hop layered over a foundation of improvisational sounds and technologically-infused experimentation. Merging many talents as a one-woman show, mB crafts each track with a surreal and sonic landscape of brilliance that infuses a complex, often playful range of a capella voice elements and everyday sounds found outside of the digital realm. mB’s latest project ‘HOW TO DRESS WELL IN THE DARK’ was released in the Spring of 2022 via Mahogani Music
