Mars Jackson is an independent hip hop artist based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Touting a style that speaks to your soul, while combining elements of hip hop, jazz and funk influences, he is one of the city’s most unique rhymers. The adoration Mars has for hip hop runs deep. His ear for production and love for songwriting manifests as a special connection with the hearts of his listeners in and outside of his hometown. Mars has opened live concerts for a wide variety of acts such as: Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, Big K.R.I.T., Logic, Stalley, Skyzoo The Internet, Gary Clark Jr. JMSN, BJ The Chicago Kid, Matt and Kim, and Dillon Francis. His 2018 debut album, Good Days Never Last Forever (produced by Nice Rec) was released under the indie music label Misra Records, and hints at the continued success of the indie rapper-songwriter. The album includes popular singles, Heart Dance, which debuted on Sydney, Australia’s Triple J Radio of October in 2017 and Simple (Feat. Benji. of Spillage Village ), featured on OWN TV’s Queen Sugar in August 2019 and voice over work for a Nike (Strong Than One) Football commercial in 2021 which aired nationally.
