David ‘Slademan’ Slade is a UK based Dj & Producer who has built a sound over the last 17 years, inspired by & utilising a variety of musical genres. For 10 years (from 2005-2015) Slademan dedicated himself to learning the fine art of beat-making the traditional way using hardware samplers like the Akai MPC 3000 and stacks vinyl as the source of samples. Coming from a Dj background, Slademan already had the tools and dexterity to apply himself to this art form with a keen ear for detail and in 2011 he packed up his bags, vinyl & drum machines and moved to London where over the next 5 years he became a recognised figure in the UK Hip Hop scene as both a Dj & Producer. After spending 15 months in Jamaica setting up a record label called Yard 127 Records and working with various Reggae artists, Slademan returned home to the UK mid 2016 to continue managing the label and his career as a multi-genre producer. Another 6 years later in 2022 you can find almost 200 releases online at present that feature Slademan’s production which is mostly Hip Hop & RnB but also includes Neo Soul, Reggae & Dancehall. Over the years, Slademan has released many mixtapes, worked with countless artists and had his music featured in film, television & magazines and uploads weekly beats to his YouTube channel called Guidance Music.
