Sylvia Mwenze is an unmistakable and charismatic Brighton based alt-RnB singer-songwriter. Starting off her career early, she established a keen interest in the soulful and emotive essence of her vocal work and writing style, later influenced by the sounds of Jojo, Brandy and Daniel Caesar when growing up. Sylvia has since shared the stage with artists such as Ashanti and Bobby Valentino on the big stage and going on to doing backing vocals for Celeste, Peter Andre, and, currently, Rag'n'Bone Man. More recently, Sylvia has been working on her solo project - with her first release 'Alarm' showcasing her phenomenal vocal ability. When it comes to her live performance, Sylvia displays raw energy and depth to her vocals, where her intimate lyricism really shines through. Sylvia has also stepped out of her typical field of music to collaborate with other artists such as Hatter, Saffa Ghorishi, Eyez, and pop/house group Ku De Ta, receiving support from BBC Introducing and Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1. Her future work is set to delve further in collaborating with electronic music producers to continue the exploration of where her sound can go, whilst writing more of her tear-jerking and powerful material. She has recently become a part of the new supergroup called ALL INC. Collective; whose first project is to be released later this year. In the meantime, she is in high demand from producers and musicians alike, and her full solo project is awaited with absolute anticipation.
