M. Alex Ramirez is a Colombian saxophonist, composer, producer, and educator based in New York City. His ideals on music focus on creating honest representations of his emotions whilst building a community that fosters innovation within the group and audience. M. Alex Ramirez was awarded 3rd place in the Carinthian International Jazz Award Saxophone in 2020. A recent graduate from NYU, M. Alex Ramirez is currently based in New York City where he regularly performs in venues all over the city. His current mentors include Ben Wendel, Baptiste Herbin, Kris Urbanski, Dave Liebman, and Melissa Aldana.
