About the artist: electronic musician, engineer, producer, and professor Phil Moffa is also the owner/operator of Butcha Sound Studios in his home town of NYC. Moffa is one half of Lost Souls Of Saturn with Seth Troxler. In 2019, they released their critically-acclaimed debut eponymous album on R&S Records. That summer they also installed their multimedia piece 'Transmission' in Basel, Switzerland and at the Saatchi Gallery in London. LSOS also created an augmented reality app that works with their album, book, and their cover feature on the October issue of Mixmag. Moffa released his debut album, 52nd Street Beat Tape on Most Excellent Unlimited in October, 2019 on limited edition cassette. Moffa has lent his ears to the creation of dozens of house and techno records, where some of the top DJs in the world trust him to be their engineer. He also works with several experimental and visual artists in collaboration. For the past 15 years, Moffa has been a faculty member at Purchase College’s Conservatory of Music, teaching future generations of producers.
