Now residing in Atlanta, Lights spits his soul over melodies that paint vivid pictures and evoke emotion in the listener. He is a lyricist with a knack for songwriting and the proof is in the music. After being sidelined for a year battling severe flu complications, Lights managed to release a comprehensive collection of unreleased music titled What Dont Kill You in 2018. In 2019 he released the album he had been working on for over three years: Dreaming About Getting Out, a collection of memories and motivation.
